Annecy is one a most amazing and cozy European towns which has its own charm in any time of year. When Im thinking of Christmas I realize this is the most suitable place for the fairytale celebration! :-)

Its actually an old analog photography, scanned and processed with texture.

Annecy in the North of the French Alps, is called touristically the Venice of Savoie. The medieval town centre built around a 14th Century Chateau is dissected by small canals and streams running out of Lac Annecy, which is clean, fresh and a wonderful azure colour. Annecy is also the prefecture of the departement of Haute-Savoie.
The hidden gem among the Alps which is the town of Annecy, with its peaceful lake and backdrop of snowy mountains. The town itself has several little canals which give it a Venetian air, encompassing several ancient villages dating from Neolithic times. Little canals and the river Thou wind through the old town, encircling the the medieval palace perched mid-river.
