Pitlochry is a burgh in the county of Perthshire in Scotland, lying on the River Tummel. It is administered as part of the council area of Perth and Kinros
Pitlochry's buildings as built in the Victorian Scottish Baronial architecture style which gives the town a very special character, much photographed by visitors. The Scottish Baronial architecture has its origins in the sixteenth century. Pioneered by figures including Sir Walter Scott in the nineteenth century, it frequently features towers adorned by small turrets.
