Description
Probably I was visiting the gallery of the artist Jane Small very often and got influenced by her color palette, but when I was processing this work I've caught myself that the colors and mood are so similar with Jane..
So here is tribute for the fantastic dreamy paintings of Jane Small. Thanks a lot for the inspiration, Jane! :-)
Spring, the most romantic time, full of energy of the life, love and joy...
Spring blossoms , the cherry blossom, plum blossom, peach blossom suddenly appear on seemingly dead branches, heralds of the coming spring. They represent the delicate, almost unnoticed flowering of enlightenment, the surprisingly quiet recognition of the Buddha-mind. These spring blossoms appear only after the hard, lonely winter of meditation and spiritual practice, yet when they peek forth, their appearance is natural, effortless. Spring blossoms are the new life that emerges from the dead branches of the little self, they simply emerge when the limited ego has passed through its seasons and withered away. Alternately, spring blossoms can represent the fleeting nature of life. They appear brightly, seemingly out of nothing from bare branches, but all too briefly... then they are gone. They can represent the Buddhist insight that all things are fleeting and change, that everything like the seasons themselves keep changing, where the only thing of value is the cultivation of awareness in order to appreciate this very moment. Sometimes the sheer beauty of color and perfume Spring flowers express transports us to an awareness of the sacred.
Keukenhof (Kitchen garden, Dutch) also known as the Garden of Europe, is the world's largest flower garden. It is situated near Lisse, Netherlands. According to the official website for the Keukenhof Park, approximately 7,000,000 (seven million) flower bulbs are planted annually in the park, which covers an area of 32 hectares.
Keukenhof is located in South Holland in the small town of Lisse, south of Haarlem and southwest of Amsterdam. It is located in an area called the "Dune and Bulb Region" (Duin- en Bollenstreek).
Keukenhof is open annually from mid-March to mid-May. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, depending on the weather

Both are fantastic. It is interesting to see how colors make difference. This one looks like a magical garden.

Jenny, this caught my eye the very second I opened your gallery page! I adore the color and the ethereal quality of light you captured is uplifting and so utterly lovely! I totally agree with you about Jane Small's work...I love her paintings too and find that they go right to the heart and spirit...soothing and uplifting. Your work here definitely exudes those same qualities, but with your own unique essence as well....beautifully done! And then there are your words...a most wonderful surprise and the perfect expression to go with this image. The trees indeed do slumber and dream in Winter, to bring forth the life of the new dream in Spring....and if we are wise beings, we honor and celebrate all the phases of creation as well...for nothing exists without the dream. Much love to you! v/f
Jenny Rainbow replied:
