Description
Sundhaven House.
During my Scottish journey I visited small and absolutely amazing town, called Culross, where the historical buildings preserved very well..
UPDATE INFO:
Interesting stories happenning sometimes with my pictures.
Yesterday I've got a comment under this image on Flickr by " Your Hi Ness "- ex dweller of this building, which I photograph in Culross, Scotland:
"This is where I grew up. It was my family home. And Jenny is right, it is lonely. It was sadly sold after my father died 1999 and the guy who bought it has left it empty ever since. It makes me very sad indeed. Infact I dream and did dream about the house last night. Its funny to have discovered it here. One day I hope someone else buys it and its lived in once more."
I've been very much touched by this letter as its so uniting the life of different people, history patterns and art. How we can strangely feel the soul of the other subject. Intuitively I made this image in th old processing which probaly appealed to his old days..

I've got another letter from the ex dweller of this house: ....basically I was saying that Sandhaven House was my family home and you are so right about calling it the lonely house. It was sold in 2000 to a guy who is a property developer apparently. He gutted the house then just stopped working on it as I believe him and his wife fell out. It has therefore been left in a state of emptiness for 13 years. It upsets me quite a lot as my parents lived there for 50 years until they died. Your photo stirred my emotions and anger at my house being unlived in and unloved. Such a shame to see your old family home left. I always projected onto what and how I would feel when finally it went but I never ever imagined it would of been left like this....

Oh, what a wonderful composition, Jenny, showing us such a charming home, though sadly left unoccupied, and the gorgeous field to the right, its golden color illuminated by the beautiful light...And that is amazing that a person who used to live here saw this and contacted you!!!! Wow!!! What a great story, Jenny!!! :)))fv
Jenny Rainbow replied:
Thank you very much, dear Laurie! She contacted me again and for now I have a name of this house - Sandhaven House! :-)
